About Me

catina

Hello, I am Dr. Catina Miller!

I recognize that as we navigate through life, we are bound to hit a few road-blocks along the way that may make us feel "stuck", anxious, afraid, burnt out, overwhelmed, or just overall confused on how to get back to our "healthy and happy place".

I am a systemic psychotherapist who serves individuals, couples, and families struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, relational issues, work-life balance challenges, and communication issues. I earned my Doctorate of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (TX #203034), Licensed Professional Counselor (TX #78032) and Licensed Master Social Worker (TX #69503).

My mental health background includes my extensive work with individuals, couples, families, and children with a history of behavioral, familial, marital, substance abuse and mental health issues. My work experience includes working at Dallas VA Medical Center, Integrated Psychotherapeutic Services, TWU’s Counseling and Family Therapy Clinic, University of Behavioral Health of Denton, Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, The Samaritan Inn, and United Through H.O.P.E.

I am passionate about educating individuals on the importance of monitoring and maintaining one’s mental health by normalizing the implementation of self-care into their daily routine as a measure to live a less stressful, more successful and most importantly, a more balanced life. I am dedicated to working with you to help you Relax, Release & Renew!

"Never view self-care as being selfish or feel guilty for putting yourself first. Self-care involves intentionally implementing 'Me-Time' in your schedule to healthily maintain your spiritual, physical, mental and emotional well-being."
